WheelchairLoop.com exists because one piece of that catalog — the securement loop and tethering strap — has its own buying audience. The University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI) houses the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Wheelchair Transportation Safety — the lab that wrote the WC18 and WC19 voluntary industry standards. Every loop we stock comes from a manufacturer that builds to those standards.

OEM Authentic, Every Time
There are knockoff loops on the market. We do not sell them. Every loop, tether strap, and emergency cutter on this site is a genuine AMF Bruns, Q’Straint, or Sure-Lok part — sourced through the authorized distribution channel, with the original part number on the label.

AMF Bruns
German engineering, global paratransit standard. AMF Bruns has been building wheelchair lifts, restraints, and securement components since 1958. Their H350258 (14″) and H350259 (18″) secure webbing loop tethering straps are factory-equipment on paratransit fleets across Europe and North America.
Q’Straint
The most widely specified wheelchair securement brand in North American public transit. Q’Straint loops (Q5-7581), mobility secure loops (Q-57580 series), and the Q5-7590 belt cutter are the parts that municipal procurement departments write into RFPs by name.
Sure-Lok
School-bus securement specialists. The Sure-Lok 8705 Premium Emergency Web Cutter meets the National Standards for School Buses for emergency-evacuation tools. Their FE200750 quick straps (12″ and 16″) attach to wheelchair frames as quick anchor points for retractor-based tie-down systems.
